Americans with disabilities were able to get congress to pass The Americans with Disabilities Act (1990) giving people with handicaps the right to public facilities, employment, and communication services.
The groups listed above were all discriminated in similar ways. The Native Americans had their land taken from them. The Asians and Pacific Islanders were treated like terrorists and were locked up in camps. The gas and lesbians were and not allowed to marry one an other. Americans with disabilities were not given equality of opportunity. Through landmark court cases, these groups were able to obtain more rights and remove different discrimination laws.
